Paul Cezanne, known as the father of Modernism and Cubism in art, and a cerebral realism painter, believed in the integrity of art more than what it was expected to be. His beautiful works are captured in this washi, and reminds us that artists who were stubborn and bold, changed the course of art history. Must have in your collection if you love modern art.

Description

Paul Cezanne (19 Jan, 1839 – 22 Oct, 1906)

“With an apple I will astonish Paris.” – Paul Cezanne
Paul Cézanne was a French artist and Post-Impressionist painter whose work laid the foundations of the transition from the 19th-century conception of artistic endeavour to a new and radically different world of art in the 20th century.  He is one of the greatest of the post-Impressionistic painters whose works and ideas were influential in the aesthetic development of many 20th-century artists and art movements, especially Cubism. Cézanne’s art, misunderstood and discredited by the public during most of his life, grew out of Impressionism and eventually challenged all the conventional values of painting in the 19th century because of his insistence on personal expression and on the integrity of the painting itself, regardless of subject matter.
